Ryan Atkinson

President + Co-Owner

Ryan is passionate about enhancing marketing for the country’s best bicycle dealers. With more than 20 years of related experience, Ryan has worked in almost every aspect of the bicycle retail distribution network, from turning wrenches at the local bike shop to launching new products for Trek Bicycle Corporation. Before joining SmartEtailing, Ryan founded Harvest Retail Marketing, a leader in marketing solutions for the independent bike dealer. His diverse background has engendered a deep understanding about the challenges facing independent retailers and the importance of implementing proven solutions to grow those businesses.

Ryan’s aim is to help retailers maximize their long-term growth and profitability. This belief has helped him build lasting partnerships with many of the nation's top bicycle dealers. Ryan holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and can often be found exploring new trails on a mountain bike or riding one of his two tandems.

David Wert

General Manager

David is proud to help independent retailers engage consumers through a variety of web based technologies. Before joining SmartEtailing, David spent more than twelve years as an independent bike shop owner, cultivating a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in the industry. Prior to that, he developed extensive experience working with brick and mortar businesses as a retail store designer and merchandising consultant.

David holds a B.S. in business marketing from Northern Michigan University and an M.B.A in business administration and management from Indiana Wesleyan University. When he's not at work, David can usually be found exploring new trails on his mountain bike. In colder months, his outdoor pursuits shift to skiing, hockey, and the occasional fatbike adventure.

Kelli Barnes

Software Development Director

Kelli believes that great teams are the foundation of a successful software company and she brings more than 20 years of software development experience to SmartEtailing. Before she joined the SmartEtailing team, Kelli managed custom software development for Maintenance Connection and lead a .NET development team to produce a complex CRM application for the performing arts community.

Kelli holds a B.S. in Business/Informations Systems from the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing a Masters of Information Technology Management at Colorado State University. Kelli is an avid hiker and when the weekend rolls around, she’ll often grab a backpack and set off in search of those moments of awe when she discovers wildlife or a hidden lake in the great Colorado mountains.

Paul Ribich

Client Services Director

Paul and his team recognize the unique needs of independent retailers and seek to find the best solutions for each store. Paul is passionate about helping retailers get the most from their online investment dollars and brings a depth of experience to help SmartEtailing’s client’s navigate the world of omnichannel retailing.

Paul received his B.A. in communication from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee while working at a local ski shop. After spending 13 years in the financial services industry, he returned to his roots working at Action Village, Team Cyclist, and Speed Goat Bicycles before joining SmartEtailing in 2011. He is happiest when surrounded by snow and mountains.

Barbara Wiesner

Support Manager

Barbara loves helping retailers present their business and their brand online in the most professional way possible. With more than a decade of experience at SmartEtailing, and two years at a Trek concept store, Barbara is proficient with SmartEtailing’s toolset and she understands the unique challenges facing independent bike dealers. She has the depth of knowledge to help IBDs succeed.

A long-time roadie, Barbara currently spends much of her time on dusty gravel roads. She is a devoted grandmother and enjoys cross-country skiing, even though Kansas winters don’t afford much opportunity for Nordic adventures.

Sam Larson

Digital Product Content Manager

Sam and his team create rich, detailed, and shoppable web retail content for SmartEtailing's customers. With nearly four hundred brands represented in the SmartEtailing cycling catalog, the Content Team builds and maintains relationships across the cycling industry to ensure that SmartEtailing customer's have continued access to the newest, most-up-to-date cycling retail content possible.

Prior to his time at SmartEtailing Sam managed independent bike shops in California and Colorado. He is an avid gravel road rider, a fly fisherman and fly tyer, and loves a classic steel road bike.

Stacey Moses

Creative Manager

Stacey is dedicated to helping retailers conceptualize and implement effective marketing solutions. Her team strategizes, designs, and develops library content that’s available to all SmartEtailing retailers, digital assets to support our brand partners, and premium custom solutions for the top bicycle retailers in North America. Stacey spent nearly a decade as a marketing manager and buyer for an independent bicycle retailer before joining the team at Harvest Retail Marketing as a marketing specialist. She has also written for cycling publications and worked as a freelance marketing consultant for small businesses in the sport and hospitality industries. 
 
After earning a B.A. in Sport Management and Communications from the University of Michigan, she moved to Washington, DC and earned a Masters in marketing from The George Washington University School of Business. Outside of work, Stacey is happiest when watching hockey, cooking a complex meal to feed a lot of people, reading and writing, or doing anything active outside. She now lives in Northern Virginia, and enjoys the opportunity to visit the mountains and the team in Colorado on a regular basis.

Lauren Webb

Accounts Team Manager

Lauren is passionate about helping independent bike retailers be successful. She began marketing for bike shops in 2012 after completing her masters degree in Integrated Media Communications from the University of Nebraska. Lauren leads a team of marketing professionals that help retailers and suppliers meet their goals through creative ideas, problem solving, and effective communication. 

Lauren loves to see new cyclists enjoying their bikes and getting involved with the cycling community. She spent several years traveling around the midwest to support her husband who was a competitive cyclist. That experience paired with a sales job at the Trek Bicycle Store of Omaha helped Lauren learn even more about the great culture of cycling. Outside of work Lauren loves to explore the nearby mountains with her family.
