Ryan is passionate about enhancing marketing for the country’s best bicycle dealers. With more than 20 years of related experience, Ryan has worked in almost every aspect of the bicycle retail distribution network, from turning wrenches at the local bike shop to launching new products for Trek Bicycle Corporation. Before joining SmartEtailing, Ryan founded Harvest Retail Marketing, a leader in marketing solutions for the independent bike dealer. His diverse background has engendered a deep understanding about the challenges facing independent retailers and the importance of implementing proven solutions to grow those businesses.
Ryan’s aim is to help retailers maximize their long-term growth and profitability. This belief has helped him build lasting partnerships with many of the nation's top bicycle dealers. Ryan holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and can often be found exploring new trails on a mountain bike or riding one of his two tandems.
David is proud to help independent retailers engage consumers through a variety of web based technologies. Before joining SmartEtailing, David spent more than twelve years as an independent bike shop owner, cultivating a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in the industry. Prior to that, he developed extensive experience working with brick and mortar businesses as a retail store designer and merchandising consultant.
David holds a B.S. in business marketing from Northern Michigan University and an M.B.A in business administration and management from Indiana Wesleyan University. When he's not at work, David can usually be found exploring new trails on his mountain bike. In colder months, his outdoor pursuits shift to skiing, hockey, and the occasional fatbike adventure.
Kelli believes that great teams are the foundation of a successful software company and she brings more than 20 years of software development experience to SmartEtailing. Before she joined the SmartEtailing team, Kelli managed custom software development for Maintenance Connection and lead a .NET development team to produce a complex CRM application for the performing arts community.
Kelli holds a B.S. in Business/Informations Systems from the University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing a Masters of Information Technology Management at Colorado State University. Kelli is an avid hiker and when the weekend rolls around, she’ll often grab a backpack and set off in search of those moments of awe when she discovers wildlife or a hidden lake in the great Colorado mountains.
Paul and his team recognize the unique needs of independent retailers and seek to find the best solutions for each store. Paul is passionate about helping retailers get the most from their online investment dollars and brings a depth of experience to help SmartEtailing’s client’s navigate the world of omnichannel retailing.
Paul received his B.A. in communication from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee while working at a local ski shop. After spending 13 years in the financial services industry, he returned to his roots working at Action Village, Team Cyclist, and Speed Goat Bicycles before joining SmartEtailing in 2011. He is happiest when surrounded by snow and mountains.
Barbara loves helping retailers present their business and their brand online in the most professional way possible. With more than a decade of experience at SmartEtailing, and two years at a Trek concept store, Barbara is proficient with SmartEtailing’s toolset and she understands the unique challenges facing independent bike dealers. She has the depth of knowledge to help IBDs succeed.
A long-time roadie, Barbara currently spends much of her time on dusty gravel roads. She is a devoted grandmother and enjoys cross-country skiing, even though Kansas winters don’t afford much opportunity for Nordic adventures.
Liam is focused on providing exciting, high-quality content that helps independent bicycle dealers improve the consumer shopping experience. Before he joined SmartEtailing, Liam managed a small team in the research department of Cision, a large public relations software-as-a-service company.
In 2014, Liam donned a stars and stripes jersey to represent the United States in the Pan-American Championships on the velodrome in Aguascalientes, Mexico. These days his search for excellence has moved from the velodrome to SmartEtailing, and he rides more for fun than competition. With a degree in journalism and creative writing from Miami University in Ohio, he's stoked to help tell the simple, yet amazing, story of how pleasurable it is to ride a bicycle.
Jon is passionate about helping bicycle brands succeed and independent retailers thrive. Since joining SmartEtailing in 2005, he has worked to integrate data and services into products that seamlessly connect brands to retailers and customers.
Prior to SmartEtailing, Jon spent fifteen years in bicycle retail, managing and co-owning a successful single-store operation that was recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Dealers. An early adopter of online sales technology and electronic marketing, Jon began using SmartEtailing solutions for his store in 2001. Jon began riding and racing in 1985. Once an Alabama State Criterium champion, he now favors long distance road rides and exploring his local trails after dark.
